Hello, I'm using Adobe Captivate 7. I want to know how to track the wrong click of the click box that was recorded in the training of software simulation. And I want to reduce my score when i made wrong click. Thanks!!!

Depending on how your course is set up, this might already be done for you.

For example, if you have a software simulation where the user has to click on 10 areas of the screen (spread over 10 slides) then you'd have one click box or button per slide that they have to click.  If you allow only 1 attempt per interactive object, then you have 10 potential correct or incorrect answers.  If your learner gets to the Quiz Results slide and shows 5 out of 10, that means your learner clicked the the correct objects only half the time.

The default quizzing variables give you everything you need to show how many clicks where correct or incorrect.

So is what you want more complex than this? If so, how?

Hello, Thanks, Mr. Rod Ward. In my screen has 3 areas to click. I gives 1 point for each area. Firstly, the learner made wrong click. So, the learner will receive error message. After that, the learner can make correct click. After clicking in 3 areas, the learner gets quiz results with 3 total score. But to get this score, the learner can make wrong click or not. If the learner made wrong click, I want to reduce 0.5 or something from the total score. Can I make? If I'm a beginner learning, please give me more details. Thanks!!!

If you are reporting quiz results to an LMS, this can be a little tricky because you do not have the ability in Captivate to use Advanced Actions to alter values of Quizzing System Variables. You can only award points if the user clicks the correct area, but not deduct points from the quiz if they click something else instead.

You may want to look into using a Hot Spot quiz question set up to have three hotspots.  With quiz questions in Cp7 you can set the number of points to award if the user clicks all three areas correctly (e.g. three points) as well as a number of Penalty points to award if the user does not answer correctly.

If it is NOT necessary to report quiz results to an LMS, then you have more freedom to do what you want because then you are just creating and manipulating the values of user variables.
