can preview, not publish

Question

I am using Captivate 4 on Windows XP. I have several cp files I am working with. All publish to swf except one. This one file allows me to preview, but not publish. There is no error message generated. I click the "Publish" button, the mouse pointer turns into an hourglass for a few seconds and then nothing happens...have waited 10 minutes without a response.

I have tried:

publishing to swf, exe, avi, etc
turning off compression
importing slides into blank presso
having user on different machine try it

I am at wits end, so any help is appreciated!

Hi thereAre we to assume the Publishing Process failed for the user on the other machine?Assuming the answer to that is yes, I might surmise that the only real option left is to create a new blank project sized identical to the first. Then copy the slides from the errant project to the fresh one and publish from the fresh project.You should also report this as a bug to Adobe.Cheers...
