Can states be added to styles?

Just wondering if I'm missing something. As I create button styles, I'd like to add states but I don't see the option to do so. Later, as I add states to buttons on stage, the style registers as changed. This seems like either a missing feature or an indication I could/should have added the state changes to the style. The goal is for a button to behave with over and down states.

You must be using Captivate 9 since you talk about states?

The InBuilt states for interactive objects are part of the object styles, custom states are not part of the style.

InBuilt states are also available for Drag sources and Drop targets, but those are not part of the style. Bit confusing, right?
