Can't add anything to slides, or create slides that aren't blank in Adobe Captivate 12.5

Running Captivate 12.5 on Windows 11 and it is basically unusable for me. Here's why:

1) I can only create Blank slides. If I select any other kind of slide when adding a new slide, it doesn't create it.
2) I cannot add any new element of any kind to any slide, whether it's a new/blank slide or a previously existing slide.

I can copy paste and I can edit things that are already in my slides, but that's all I can do.

After troubleshooting a little more with no success, I wiped my machine and that fixed the issue.

So I had the same issue and got ahold of support via email and following these steps worked.

I removed that entire folder and it didn't help in my case. Glad it worked for you, though! I must've had some other things going on with my machine.

SAME. I've just installed it after a couple of years keeping license "suspened". (V19)  New version, great - I thought. I can record a simulation - which is all I use Captivate for - but I cannot mark it up! I have found no way to Add, Insert or Apply any of the great tools we had before. I need boxes that I can later make blink, I need to add arrows that I can make slide over to emphasisze something, I need to add a text box either for additional information or for my voiceover. WHERE DID THESE TOOLS GO?? I've got more editing tools in this community window than in the actual tool.

As in, you wiped, then reinstalled and it was fixed? Or you wiped, didn't reinstall and moved to a different recording platform? 😉
