Can't copy certain smart shapes in project.

I'm running Captivate 9 and have recently experienced some issues. I no longer have a "View Master" button below my "Reset Master Slide" button on my slide properties. And, possibly more pressing, I can't seem to copy or cut certain smart objects. I am working off of a template created by a member of our team which has place holders, but I can't tell if the inoperable smart shapes came from the placeholder or elsewhere in the template. I really don't know what would cause a clearly defined smart shape to no act like the other smart shapes on the slide/project.

Templates (cptl files) cause issues since a while. I can only recommend not to use them at all.

I don't know what you mean by 'View Master' button? Is that the dropdown list where you can change the applied master slide to a slide?

Thanks for the help with the cptl file. Here is a picture of the two buttons I use to have but now I only have the "Reset Master Slide" button below the Master slide selection.

Must be because I never use the Newbie UI, don't need that button because I always have the Master slide panel open in the bottom dockong station. You should also be able to open that panel from the Window menu.
