Can't edit button text in new captivate

How do you edit a button's text? No matter what I try, the text reverts to say BUTTON. Shouldn't I be able to change it by clicking in the button and changing it?

    The issue is fixed. I can't even begin to imagine what caused it. I opened one of the sample projects provided with Captivate and selected one of the buttons to see if I could edit it, and I could. Then, I reopened my original project, and miraculously, I could edit the button text.  I should add that this is after everything from updating the version I was using, restarting the program, and restarting my computer didn't work.

    It is the same way you could edit text on transparent buttons in previous versions. Either you double-click the button or you use F2 to go into edit mode. However it is pretty quirky, often you have to insist or change a couple of time between the states. For sure, not intuitive.
