Can't record iOS device demo on Mac

I have Captivate 9. Everytime I try to record a new device demo - It sees the connected iPhone but doesn't mirror the screen. If I click record and as soon as I end the recording I get an error that the application has unexpectedly quit. Updates is greyed out under the Help menu. So I am having these four problems:

1. It doesn't mirror device
2. Doesn't record anything
3. Unexpectedly quits when I end recording
4. Cannot update the Captivate version
