Can't retrieve files from Captivate

Hi!  I have been creating quizzes on Adobe Captivate 9.  When I try to Open files, it does not allow me to open it.  I always get an advisory saying it cannot be opened because it might be opened already or file is corrupted.

What can I do to open files that have been saved?

Thank you!

In addition to Lilybiri's questions I would also like to know where you are saving these project files.  Are you saving them to a local folder on your PC or to a network drive somewhere?

    Hello Rodward and Lilybri,

    I experience the same problem.

However, I tried to follow the instructions https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/kb/opening-corrupted-captivate-project.html#:~:text=The%20new%20utility%20from%20Adobe,date%20modified%2C%20and%20cache%20size. here, but still, the project won't open.  😞

Should I need to clear the cache file?

I'm saving the files on my PC.

Do NOT clear your cache just yet.  You may need it to recreate the CPTX file.

Here are some suggested ways to resurrect corrupted projects:

Do you clear the cache regularly? Did you try to clean the Preferences?
