Can table of contents topics be revealed after learner completes each topic?

We are still using Captivate 5. Is it possible in any of the Captivate versions to set up the table of contents so that a topic would be active (available) in the table of contents only after the learner has completed the pages in that topic?

We envision that until a learner has completed a topic, the topic name would be, say grayed-out, indicating that the learner couldn't select it yet. But after the learner completed one of the topics, it would be available in the TOC in the event he would like to jump back to that topic to review something.

This would be a way to encourage learners to work through every page, and not skip any topics.

Thank you!

Hi there,

That feature is not there in Captivate 5, but it is there in Captivate versions from Captivate 5.5 onwards, so you will get that in the latest version of Captivate also (Captivate 7).

The feature is 'Navigate visited slides only' (you need to check that) under Project > Table of contents > settings.

That feature will let you do the same as you mentioned in your query.

Thanks.
