Can XML files be converted to Captivate 7 .cptx files ?

I am taking on tasks from a colleague who's role was made redundant. He was looking after a number of eLearning courses that were developed in XML format. I have no experience with XML, but do have a good level of knowledge of Captivate ( currently using version 7)  Is it possible to "easily" convert .xml files to Captivate .cptx files to enable me to then manage those files in Adobe Captivate 7 ?
