Can you ad interactions to a video?

We have these .swf files that are embedded in captivate that we need to redo to be HTML5 compliant. I was wondeirng if we video'd the current .swf in action could be build interactions to simulate what was done in the original .swf files?

It depends on the kind of SWFs you have. You use the word 'interactions', does that mean that there is interaction between the SWF and Captivate? Or are they just animations, in a way that cannot be done with Captivate's effects. Or are you pointing at the Interactions (wdgt) which wer inserted as Widgets in previous versions?

The previous version of this training had swf on the slide. A text caption on one slide telling the student what to do on the image on the right. It could be pushing the right button to make the screen image refresh with new info, or toggling a switch.

No way to replace that by a passive video, if I understand your description correctly.

I would recreate this using Multistate objects, toggle buttons, actions and variables to keep the interactivity. Looks like being perfectly possible with Captivate features which are HTML5 compatible.
