Question

Can you add sound to a slide when there is text animation?

I'm using Captivate 6 on a Mac

I'm trying to add sound music MP3 file to a slide that has a text animation on it. The sound appears to go in on the slide but the sound does not play back when I do a preview.

Any suggestions?

Maree - thanks

    HI there

How are you previewing? If you have chosen the "play this slide" preview, check to ensure you haven't possibly muted the slide on the little playbar icon.

No I haven't accidentally muted the player. The sound works on other slides just not that one.

Where did you add the sound? To the slide itself or to an object?

There could be many things going on. If you added the sound to an object, is visibility for the object enabled? If the audio is on the timeline, is it at the very beginning? If not, maybe you have an object that is pausing playback so the playhead doesn't reach the audio.

Can you share a screen shot of the Timeline for that slide?

    Cheers... Rick
