    Correct answer Lilybiri

You can import the video like any other video, but you will not be able to edit the video itself. If you want to do that, create a Video Demo, and use the video demo editor in Captivate, which allows you to add and synchronize static objects and animations.

    Hello Lilybiri,

As a continuation the above question(discussion), I have inserted MP4 video on to the captivate timeline. Now, I want to add callouts, highlights, audio, animations and interactive elements on the video at particular positions. I am unable to preview the video while working on the timeline. Then, how can I add those elements?

For example, in my 2 min video I have five different features or different simulation activities, where I need to explain them with the help of highlight boxes, animations and adding audio at that particular position. I am unable to preview the movie while working on timeline. Then how would I know the exact position of the elements to be added?

    Thanks for the help.

How did you insert the video: event video or multi-synch video? The first scenario leads to a video that has its proper control panel and plays totally independent of Captivate. The second one is controlled by Captivate, you could try to edit in that case. But my answer was to use Video Demo as alternative, because its editor will allow this work flow much easier. Camtasia also allows you to add callouts, why don't you use that ?
