Question

Can you pause the "timer" of a "Delay Next Action By"?

I have an animation and audio that plays as a preloader for a video.

The video object loads when the slide loads, but doesn't play for 12 seconds so it has time to buffer.

We do this by running an Advanced Action upon entering the slide:

Delay Next Action By .01 seconds
Hide Video_Object
Delay Next Action By 12 seconds
Show Video_Object

(Video_Object is Progressive Download, Multi-Slide Synchronized Video, set to Auto Play)

It works great unless the end user clicks Pause during the Delay Next Action By 12 seconds.

The entire slide pauses, but at 12 seconds, the video appears and begins playing until the end user clicks Play and then Pause again.

Is there a way to Pause the "Delay Next Action By..." so the Advanced Action and the slides Timeline stay in sync?

No, sorry, the Delay command doesn't respond to a Pause command, nor to a Pausing point. I explained that behavior and more about pausing in my latest blog post:
