cannot import Powerpoint file with Vista

I cannot import PowerPoint files (2003) into Captivate. I use Vista operating system. Are there any known issues out there about this?

Hi gregwilliams123 and welcome to our community

What version of Captivate are you using? Only Captivate 3 has been designed to work with Vista. If you are using version 2, you really should consider upgrading to 3 if you are using Vista.

Assuming you are using 3, are you seeing error messages or what exactly are you seeing when you try to import?

Thanks, I am using Captivate 3. I did not get an error message. I just saw the little "loading" icon to indicate it was trying to open the file.

Almost by magic, after I posted my original question, I was able to import my PowerPoint slides. It was like when you car makes a funny sound and when you bring it ot the mechanic, it stops making the sound. Go figure
