Question

Cannot publish viewable HTML5 interactive simulations

When I publish an interactive simulation using the HTML5 option, the only way anyone can see the project is if they download Flash Active X and view the PDF.   Why won't the HTM files that are published play on anyone's computers but mine?  Is there something special I need to do to make the HTM version available for users to view?  We do not have an LMS, and are publishing our training programs on a SharePoint site.  Any suggestions anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

There is also some possibility that you happened to use captivate features that are only available in flash.  It is not always obvious which are html5.   Try starting with a simple text only page and publish as html, and work up from there.

I've had really good success with this process that I have documented on my YouTube channel.

I have uploaded the folder to our SharePoint site, but the index.html file doesn't work.  It just opens a blank webscreen.

It needs to be a WEB server.

SharePoint behaves more like a File Server rather than as a true Web Server (though I am told there are some options that can allow it to serve content in a more web-like way).

Forgot to mention one thing...if you're creating HTML5 content with Cp9's latest versions then your web server will also need to have the JSON mimetype enabled by the server administrator.

Upload the folder to a webserver.
