Cannot tab to quiz answers

Hi everyone, 

I am new to Captivate and trying to edit a course that already existed where I am working. Unfortunately, as I am reviewing for accessiblity, I see that I cannot tab to the quiz multiple choice answers. It will go to the TOC, the navigate panel (play, pause, forward, etc.) and the clear or submit buttons but I cannot select an answer to choose. I have tried restricting tabbing to the slide only. This didn't work and also restricted the navigation panel which is necessary for users to access.

 

Any advice?

    If you are trying to create an accessible project where all navigation is controlled by keyboard only, your best bet is NOT to have the default Captivate TOC and Playbar.  They belong to the skin which is actually wrapped around the content stage area.

     

    As you have found, restricting tabbing to the slide does not prevent a user with a mouse from clicking any of the objects in the skin.  And with that setting turned on, the only way for the user to get back into the slide area again is to click there.  It creates a Catch-22 situation.

     

    If you want total control of the navigation with tabbing, turn off the TOC and Playbar and create your own navigation within the content area
