Cap 3 to Presenter

Supposedly these two work "seamlessly" - must be downright invisible. I've made sure the Captivate movie is the right frame rate and disabled the controls, and published to Flash Player 8 (all the issues I could find). In Presenter, I've selected to have Presenter controls and entered (through Audio Editor) the amount of silence needed to cover the movie - AND IT STILL WON'T PLAY! WHY OH WHY can't Adobe (in all their documentation) just give very clear instructions for how to accomplish this "seamless integration"????

Hi cocheri,
Welcome to the Captivate User-to-User Community!

Have you tried just creating your SWF in Captivate - to the size specifications for delivery in Connect - and placing it in Connect? This skips the step of running it through Flash, which might very well be the underlying problem.

I'm unsure what you mean by Captivate being *the right frame rate*, but I would make NO changes to the Captivate project, including changing the default frame rate. Just create it as a Captivate project and place it in Connect Presenter.

Once you have established that the movie itself will play properly in Connect Presenter, then you can go back and try your other variations, using other programs to make changes - I'd suggest one at a time. Bottom line, Captivate is, for better or worse, best used as Captivate, not as one piece of a multi-program output. Best of luck to you!
