Cap 5.5 locking up on any audio operation

For some reason, if I attempt to perform ANY kind of operation involving audio, Captivate 5.5 is locking up, forcing a Task Manager exit. I uninstalled and reinstalled CP, same issue. I then tried audio operations in Audacity, Windows recorder, etc. with no problems. Any ideas?

    Hi there

At any point have you been connected to a second monitor? Sometimes a window will open off screen and you think Captivate is locked up, when in reality it simply has a dialog open in an area you cannot see. I had this happen multiple times yesterday during faciliation of a class. Fortunately, it was a simple task to briefly configure the projection system as a second monitor and rescue the audio dialogs back into the viewable aree. But I had to do this three or four times. And yep, they were all dealing with Audio!

In my not so humble opinion, the dev team really needs to put some effort into snapping dialogs like these into the viewable area if the second monitor isn't present. But that won't be likely to happen unless they hear from enough folks about it. How do you make them hear? By completing a Wish Form/Bug Report! (link is in my sig)
