Cap 8 random questions quiz doesn't show correct result or hangs up

We have developed e-learning module with Captivate v.8.

It contains question bank with 70 True/False radio button questions.

Module contains 1 quiz with 30 random questions from this question bank.  

At the end of quiz there is summary page to display quiz score and number of correctly answered questions.

We don't use playbar for this module.

After publishing module, we faced following problems:

Module published in HTML format

  1. Quiz score are not calculated – it shows 0% and 0 correct answers, even I have correctly answered 5 or more questions
  2. Review answers – marks for correct/incorect answers are not displayed

Module published in Flash format

  1. About 25% of module attempts hung up at question Nr. 18. There is no way to answer the question or move to another slide.
  2. Quiz scores are calculated correctly and review answers are fully functional.

Does anyone has any idea what causes this problem?

I've run into similar results when copying and pasting quiz text from a word document, captivate appears rather sensitive to word's hidden / special characters. I've gotten in the habit of copying word text into notepad as a first step, then copy and paste works better!

Thanks for sharing, BDuckWorks, but it won't be my case - I import questions from txt file.

Flash format now is working - for some of question slides I had different timings in Question Pool (3 sec) and in project Filmstrip (1 sec). Now timing is equal and Flash format output is working correctly,

However HTML acts the same.

Did you delete embedded objects on question slides or master slides? Can

you check value of some quizzing system variables by inserting them in a

text container on the first question slide and time them for rest of

project to find out where it is going awry?

On Question slides I left Submit button, Clear button and behind it Next button (it's for reviewing).

On Result slide I have Review and Next butttons and it displays Correct Questions and Accuracy.

I'll try to insert variables and check what is going on with HTML output. Update - I've done it - $$cpQuizInfoPointsscored$$ and $$cpQuizInfoTotalCorrectAnswers$$ shows 0 all the time, correct answers aren't counted.

You did delete Continue in Results slide, not a good idea because that is

the trigger for the Actions from Quiz settings. Only buttons that can be

turned off by a checkbox (like Back, Clear) should be controlled.

However it is very worrying that the sys vars didn't update after each

question as is normally the case. Sure you did not delete other elements on

question slides:.title?
