Cap 9 failure to display shapes

Why are my shapes not displaying when I Preview Project or Next 5 Slides? They display OK when I Preview Slide. Visible in Output is on. Strangely, they display if I time them within 2/10ths of a second from the slide start, but want them to appear later,

Sure, here it is. The background is an import PPT slide. The timed objects are the arrows.

Is this the complete timeline? Certainly not for the length of the slide which is over 40secs, but are all the object timelines visible? I expected, like Rick, to see a pausing point before the start of the line shape timelines.
