Question

Caption defaults not saving (Captivate 7 on Mac)

Hi!

My company is strict about its branding, and I finally created some custom captions with the approved colors for simulations. But no matter how many times I assign them as defaults in the preferences (and save and exit Captivate and everything else I can think of), the next time I create a simulation, it goes right back to that light blue one.

Is there something non-intuitive I'm not seeing?

Thanks!

Hello,

You need to change the global preferences to change the default style of your captions. In order to do that you need to make sure that without open any project click on Edit Preferences>Recording>Defaults create a new style and apply it .

Click on OK to close the object style manager dialog box.

Then start your recording again and check the default captions.

Regrads,

Rajeev.

Do you change the default object styles before opening any project? That is normally the way to have them as defaults for all future projects.
