Caption ends abruptly shortly after it starts

I installed captivate on a new computer. I begin the capture session, give it a few seconds, and it always ends the capture session without me even doing anything... any idea why?

Hi there

Things that will help us to know:


Thing 1 - What version of Captivate are you using? (It's been around a while and even has different names!)

Thing 2 - What mode of capture are you attempting? (There are different ways of recording)

Thing 3 - What operating system are you using? (Windows XP, XP Pro, Vista, Windows 7 and is it 32 bit or 64 bit?)

1. It happens with version 3.0. i rcently isntalled the 4.0 trial, just to see. same thing

2. i am doing a whole screen caption, with narration (audio)

3. XP SP3, 32 bit

Hi there

What happens if you try to capture without recording narration at the same time? Does it work then?
