Captions in CP9

Hello,  I am working in CP9 adding success, and failure text caps to quiz and knowledge check slides.  For some reason my success caption pops up perfectly (with a modified text) when the question is answered correctly.  However my other captions, like my failure caption will not.  Any idea how I can fix this problem?  Also in every quiz slide I add to my project I have to rest the master slide because text and captions are not correct.  I have these captions selected in object styles and preferences.

    Just bit guessing now: are you sure you have captions and not shapes as Feedback messages? Both can be used also for Quiz, depends on the theme you used. Apparently you changed the master slides, did you override default object styles on those master slides? Did you save the changed theme?

    About failure not getting visible: did you delete some objects on the quiz slides? Embedded objects, those without a separate timeline, should not be deleted at all unless you can uncheck them in the Properties/Quiz Properties (example: possible for Skip and Clear button).

    Im using captions not shapes.  I did customize the styles a little, but I cloned the defaults, made my changes and then saved as a different name.  I have these new caps set as default.  And I did not delete any embedded objects form the master slides.  However we have had to change a few things on our theme lately, but these issues existed before that was done.

    Are you sure you did set them as default for Quizzing objects, not for Standard objects? I created a theme today and didn't have any issue like you explain, something must go awry in the work flow. Was that theme perhaps created in a previous version of Captivate?

    Wen I asked about embedded objects, I also asked for the Quiz slides themselves, not only for the Master slides.
