Captivate 1 and publishing SWF files

I have (registered) captivate 1.01 (build 1418 full version). I have install it on several (3-4) laptops (replacements, upgrades) and ... now have a client that requires this older version for development. I can record the move, create exe files. I can't just publish a swf file. Did I screw up my license somehow? Do I have a virus? I need to create swf files to import into their development tool (EEDO). HELP!!!!

Thanks in advance!

the file publishes... but the flash icon is that silly generic windows icon (can't open file - find an application) I know it's publishing - but I can't play it! I've downloaded (AGAIN) the flash player, the shockwave player, etc. ad nauseum (sp?). I don't get it.

Hi Storybell

If you double-click the icon, does Windows prompt you for what it should do with the file? If so, try choosing Internet Explorer and see if it plays.

Cheers... Rick

When you say you can't publish a SWF file, what exactly is the problem you're seeing?
