Assuming this won't be fixed, I have been making the equations in power point and then copy paste into captivate.

I am disappointed that this ability is gone.

I am also extremely disappointed, especially having had the same discussion with the Articulate folk.

With a world which is going increasingly online, it does not seem prudent to eliminate MathML and accessibility standards from course development.

Makes one wonder if there was a contract issue.....

MathMagic is one of the features that were taken out of CP2017, probably because it was not used that much:

What are the discontinued features in the 2017 release of Adobe Captivate? | eLearning

If you still have CP9 installed, since it only did prduce images of the mathematical equations, maybe you can still use it and insert the images with the Media button.

Being part of a group who makes educational videos (including lots of math and science videos), removing the equation editor feature was a TERRIBLE idea.   Looks like I'm going back to version 9 until this is fixed.

As a former School Superintendent and now Adobe Captivate Instructor I teach of a lot of elearning development staff in school boards (districts) who support elementary and secondary panel educators. MathMagic was really a useful feature. Don't count on Adobe "Fixing" this - continue to use Version 9 or you can purchase from MathMagic directly.
