Captivate 12/2023 - looking to edit the Quiz feedback alerts

Hi all - so in Captivate Classic, I edited the quiz so that there would be 2 attempts and a Fail. Each was a different message edited via the State View (Just change the Normal view of the Incorrect Shape). Each failure message was different with pregressive hints to the right answer but the final failure message was You got it wrong, the answer was XYZ - Continue.

So I see C12 or 2023 has the quizzing system plus the feedback elements, but does any one know how to edit those feedback elements? Thanks

Claire

No, the only editing which remains possible are the Default Labels under Quiz Preferences. You cannot even edit the individual feedback messages. Features like Advanced Answers, question pools are not available neither. You don't have shared/advanced actions anymore (which was needed for tweaking quiz slides). Moreover in the responsive projects with Fluid Boxes - which is what you can compare with the new version - the feedback messages were in a static fluid box, which made adding objects easier, in CP12 I have no idea how to replace that.

It may be possible to reproduce some of the tweaks by using interactions but have not yet tried it out. Positive is that most of the formerly available Quizzing system variables remained in the new version. That could help.

Gosh I hope this changes with newer updates and releases in the Roadmap for '23 because it's amost like they've taken Peter to feed Paul (removed the creativity to give the responsive design which cannot be removed, the widgets, vertical scrolling etc.). Not sure why '23 was not 2019 + the additions of 2023. Is this still in Beta?

Not in Beta anymore, but there is the reason why both version 11.8.2 and version 12 can be used on one license.

You are correct that limiting to responsive projects takes away a lot of control, even more than with Fluid Boxes. This app is meant for another group of developers.
