Question

Captivate 12.6 Combine two files.

Like so many others, I am so frustrated by this new version of captivate. Slow, slow, crash, crash, just stops working and won't open some files for no reason.

I am trying to combine to .cpt files and since there is no longer an option under import to bring in slides from another project, I tried copying and pasting. This results in captivate shutting down every time.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to bring slides from one project into another?

You can right click slides from one course and paste them into another, but be forewarned, save after EVERY single paste function. Copy->Paste slides from one course to another or even Duplicating slides within the same course has caused me many crashes, MUCH swearing, and even corrupted files. SUPER clunky process!!! My suggestion is to only copy and paste a few slides at a time and see how it goes. Good luck from one frustrated user to another!

Hi @mbrant123

Are you seeing any error messages or unexpected behavior?

Let me check with the team and get back to you.

Can you share some sample slides that are causing the issues. You can send them to saghosh@adobe.com

Unfortunately, I can't because it is propietary information. I ended up just creating blank slides and manually copying the information over slide by slide.
