Captivate 12: Added button doesn't work after video block/grid!

I'm using video blocks/grids for a slide and I want to add a button to trigger to advance to the next slide after the user views all the videos. For some reason, once you watch any of the videos and click the button, it does nothing. It won't advance to the next slide. The button only works if you don't click any of the videos first. I can't seem to figure out why. I thought it was something I did wrong so I double checked to see if it works in one of the pre-built templates that's provided in Captivate. It doesn't even work on their own templates! Has anyone had any success with this? It works fine if I add a button to a slide video but I need it for a video block/grid.

    Hi,

Thank you so much for your reply.

I have updated the software to 12.3 and it has fixed this issue, but the update seems to have switched off my audios.

Do you know if there is a workaround for this?

    Thank you.

You used the video grid, which means you are using event videos which play independently of Captivate's timeline, contrary to the other template where you have a slide video synchronized with that same timeline.

How did you set up the interaction for the button, please? I know it is not easy to explain since there is no advanced actions windo anymore to see all the commands, but try to explain the sequence of commands you have used.

Thanks @Lilybiri for your quick response. I just set up a "continue" button to advance to the next slide by clicking "Interactivity" and then "Go to next slide". Just a simple interaction. But weridly enough, anytime I click one of the videos prior to clicking the button to advance, it disables the button. Wondering if there's a workaround for it. I know it works for Slide Video but I'm not a fan of using it because the video doesn't have a traditional playback bar that allows the user to control scrubbing through the video.

This is probably another bug. As I explained before, it may be linked to the fact that event video play independently from Captivate, which explains the individual control panel. Personally I don't like event video, but I don't like scrubbing a bar neither, prefer to provide important bookmarks for a video in an interactive video which needs to be slide video which is synchronized with CP's timeline.

Which pre-built template did you try where it didn't work? I've seen a few features not work in their templates as well but want to see if it's the same one or not.
