Captivate 12 - Any way to make the images in the widgets clickable so they display full size?

I have many widgets/interactions that contain images with lots of details. It would be helpful if users could click the smaller image in the interaction and open it full size. Is this possible?

In that case (I am an engineer/architect) do you really need a responsive project? Can learners view the details on a phone screen (it is the browser resolution which is important, not the screen resolution)?

AFAIK this is impossible with the new Captivate due to its template-based approach and limitation to responsive projects.

It would be a breeze in Captivate Classic in a non-responsive project, which you can publish as Scalable HTML to allow to use the course from any device... in landscape mode preferable. Captivate Classic even has a Zoom Image learning interaction which would be perfect for this use.
