Captivate 12: Changing size/location of elements

When creating a slide one picks a layot in the new captivate. From there I can't figure out how to fine tune the location of the onscreen elements (such as text boxes, images, etc) and the size. For instance if I want a text box to go further across the page and there's room, it doesn't let me change this like in the old version. I also can't seem to move elements and tweak their exact location. How is this possible?

Thanks!

If you click on the element (not the text itself), do you see an option for Alignment and Spacing at the top of the properties area? Click that and it will give you a little more control over the width and so on. Not full control, but it does offer you a little bit of control of the spacing.
So, far I have been able to mostly line things up where I want them with a bit of tweaking in this area. Not perfect and certainly not the control you see in Classic, but I have been able to make it work.

Responsive project never have 'exact locations' nor 'exact sizes' since both can change depending on the browser resolution. Within the blocks there are some features available which allow you to have some control over the components but it is limited due to the responsiveness and the core of this version which is based on templates and blocks. You lose a lot of design control. Sorry! Keep to Captivate Classic for more control, even with fluid boxes you can create a more custom design for your responsive project.

So with this attached screenshot, there is TONS of room to the right of the Title, but it chooses to make it go to a second line - there's no way to tell it to fit on one line? Even in responsive html design you can do that - it seems to weird to have 0 control

Which block is that? Which Preset? You have some control over some components like this title. And it uses a certain text style which is part of the Theme.

Personally I am not a fan at all of this new version, sorry. Just try to find out if I could help you, but I am just a user, not an Adobe employee.
