Captivate 2 button issue

I've created an elearning compilation where I have several text buttons to move the user Back and Forward through the presentation. The problem is that some of the same buttons on certain slides do not work. The click sound is made, but no action. I have tried deleting the buttons that don't work and recreating them, but no luck. I've even tried exporting to Flash, but Captivate 2 does not seem to export correctly to Flash 8. Can you help?

    Welcome to our community, cschwab

Odds are this is an issue with your Quiz settings. For example, if you configured the quiz so that each question must be answered, you will be unable to move beyond any questions that exist between where you are and where you wish to go. Also there is an option that may prevent you from going backward.

    So look in this location:
Click Project > Quiz Manager > Quiz Settings tab. You will be interested in the "Required" field and the "Allow backward movement" check box.

That is not it since I am not creating any quizzes through Captivate. Any other suggestions?

    Hi again

Sorry. I apparently incorrectly inferred you were using quizzing. My bad.

What action has been assigned to the buttons? On the slides where you are seeing a failure, what other objects are present? It could be that another object is preventing the function as you would expect.

    Cheers... Rick
