Captivate 2017 and NeoSpeech Voice package

Hello,

I just downloaded the Captivate 2017 and realized that the asset library and NeoSpeech voices are not linked to the new Captivate 2017 version. After looking at the folder directories, I see that this update doesn't override the existing Captivate 9 version and it's a standalone version in a separate file directory.

My question: is there is an easy way to copy the same assets and voices from Cp9 to Captivate 2017 library. The voice package is too big and takes a long time to download it. I already have the file for Captivate 9; is there a short cut to use the same package (if the voices has not been updated) for Captivate 2017?  Can I just copy them to specific folder (?) that could be shared by both version of Captivate on my computer?

    Hi Maryam — not sure if this would be helpful, but I work at an AI research lab in Seattle where we've built a text-to-speech engine that produces speech that's nearly indistinguishable from the human voice and doesn't require a lengthy installation to use. The voices are far less robotic than Amazon Polly and other providers (we think!) and could be used in production.

    Hello Maryam,

    You can use the already existing Captivate 9 Asset Library and Neo Speech voices, to do so follow the below steps:

    For NeoSpeech:

    1. Copy the existing "Adobe Captivate Voices 9 x64" from C:\Program Files\Adobe Captivate Voices 9 x64
    2. Paste it in the below Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)
    3. Rename the folder you just copied to: "Adobe Captivate Voices 2017" (without the quotes)
    4. Relaunch Captivate

    For Assets:

    1. Copy the existing "Characters_9_0" from C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\Characters_9_0
    2. Paste it in the same folder
    3. Rename the folder you just copied to:"Characters_10_0" (without the quotes)
    4. Relaunch Captivate.
