Captivate 2017 and Powerpoint 2013 Alignment

How do I align Powerpoint's animation timing with the Captivate 2017 audio after I've imported my PPTX file into Captivate. I don't want to recreate the animations in Captivate.

Thanks.

This is where importing PPT decks into Captivate becomes more trouble than it's worth.

You are not the first person to discover that there is really no easy way to get animation in PPT to synchronise with components (e.g. audio track or other animated objects) in Captivate.

Honestly, if you intend doing lots of animation synchronised with audio voiceover, recreating the project from scratch in Captivate is the better choice. PPT import works best (if there is such a thing) when the PPT deck consists of only static screens.

Well, this confirms what I thought, but I'm stuck with my method because a couple of content providers have already created files in PPT. Not much I can do about this because it's how they work. Rebuilding in Captivate isn't very efficient, even if it is 'the better choice'.

When will Captivate make this alignment with PPT possible? There are other elearning tools that make this task much easier, as I'm sure you know.

Athough I am a big fan of Captivate, for users who only need to convert PPT's, which are meant for presentations, not for eLearning, into HTML5 output, I always recommend to use a PPT plugin (iSpring, Adobe Presenter, Articulate). Unless of course you make even presentation with Captivate as I'm used to do.
