Captivate 2017 cut and paste text using a mouse

I have upgraded from Captivate 9 to Captivate 2017 and can no longer use my mouse to copy, cut, or paste text from the closed caption, or text to speech area.  I must use keyboard commands.  Is there a way to enable the mouse commands or has this option been deleted?

This is not normal behaviour. Something is not functioning as it should. If this behaviour is only happening in Captivate try the following.

    1. Navigate to the folder where Captivate is installed on your computer
Note: On Windows, the default location is typically C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9 x64.
    2. Open the utils folder.
    3. Double-click CleanPreferencesWin.bat

    Thank you for the response.

I have Captivate 2017.  The right mouse click to copy, cut, and paste did worked for me in Captivate 9.

    I followed your steps, but instead of C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9 x64

The path was the same except the last, C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2017 x64

I opened the utils folder and double-clicked CleanPreferencesWin.bat

All my Captivate 2017 settings were restored back to default, fresh install.

I still am not able to use the right mouse click to copy, cut or paste in Captivate 2017.

If you are certain it isn't also happening with other applications I would suggest you reach out to Adobe and see if they can offer support.
