Captivate 2017 - Fade in and out not working in preview

So I have a project that I am looking to do a simple fade in and out with some of the shapes I have created. 1 shape will fade in, then out and 4 more shapes after will do the same. When I use the "Play Slide" option, the fade in and out works fine in the project window.

When I use the Preview "From this Slide" option that plays in browser (Chrome) the first shape fades in but stops, doesn't fade out and the other shapes never appear. There are no pauses on the shapes.

I am on Mac OS High Sierra and Captivate version 10.0.0.192. I applied the fades with the transition section "Fade In and Out" option.

Probably (again) a timeline problem. Can you post a screenshot of the timeline, please? Effects and transitions can be paused by a pausing point on the timeline from an interactive object. It will be easier to explain if you post a screenshot. Have a look at this blog post:

If you prefer an interactive movie:

BTW Play slide is not a real Preview method at all, just use it for editing, synchronizing but never for testing.

I think I figured it out. There were 3 other layers that had pauses on them (not the ones I wanted to fade) that paused after 1.5 seconds. After I adjusted the pauses of those layers to later in the timeline, the fade seems to work correctly.

That was my suspicion, confirmed.
