Captivate 2017 project does not play when published or previewed

Hello everyone. I'm stumped and hope someone out there can help.

• Running Mac OS High Sierra (10.13.1)
• Captivate 2017 (10.0.0.192)

I have just installed Captivate 2017 and created a two slide, responsive project (no scorm). The project will not preview or play, at all. I've have tried the following options. In EVERY case i simply receive the spinning .gif of doom. The project has no interactive elements, no url links, no video, no images. I'm at a loss. Anyone have any thoughts???

From Captivate

• Play slide
• From this slide
• Next 5 slides
• Project
• Preview in Scorm Cloud

From my desktop, launching the index.html file in:

• Firefox 57.0.3 (64-bit)
• Chrome 63.0.3239.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)
• Safari 11.0.1 (13604.3.5)

I've also uploaded the package to the following. None of which worked.

• SCORM Cloud account (I did publish a SCORM version of the original project)
• My work server space (verified that JSON is enabled on the server)
• My Canvas LMS instance
