Captivate 2017 Software sim - Slide Audio hang

Hello Friends,

I have a software simulation created in Captivate 2017. it is about 16 minutes long with no audio. I am trying to insert audio across multiple slides using the Slide Audio editor. The audio is about 2 minutes long. I mark on the audio, where I want the slides to start. When I try to preview (in the Audio Editor) what the slide and the audio timing look like; the preview process seems to hang at the 'loading slides' section. I also noticed in the Slide Audio editor that it allows me to mark slide times even through we have gone past the audio clip time length - it just seems to insert silence. Is there a way to specify the start and stop slide to spread the audio over, with the ability to preview and fine tune the slide start/stop times over the length of the inserted audio?  I have 15.8G of usable memory and no other applications running. I am doing all of the editing and saving to my local hard drive.

Sincerely,

Peter

Audio, contrary to other assets, has to be loaded on entering each slide. For that reason I always recommend not to distribute audio over slides, but to have an individual audio clip for each slide, even leaving a small gap before and after the audio timeline.
