Captivate 2019 Crashes When Creating New Video Demo

I've been using this software for quite some time and while I've had issues along the way, today is a new one.

I realize this has been reported before, and I've already tried all of the solutions given including renaming the SHCache folder, running the .bat file to clean things up, cleared the cache, modified the DPI Awareness from 0 to 1 etc... yet the program crashes every time. No warning messages, just the Windows working icon for a few seconds, then black screen.

I'm using a Windows 10 machine that gets updated regularly.

Any ideas???

I haven't been able to run Video Demo for a year or more. I reported it to Adobe well over a year ago and the only thing we were able to determine was that it had something to do with my Logitech webcam. Unfortunately unplugging the webcam didn't help me. I was able to use Video Demo if I completely wiped my hard drive, didn't plug my Logitech BRIO into the new installation, and install Captivate. Worked fine. As soon as I plugged my BRIO into the PC, video demo ceased to function even when disconnecting the webcam.

I gave up trying to work with Adobe to troubleshoot the issue as it really didn't matter for me. I use Camtasia for all my screen recording needs. I wasn't the only one with this issue but to my knowledge Adobe has not solved this issue.

Yep.  That's the Adobe we all know and 'love'.  Support like no other software company on earth...

Maybe the 11.8 release will solve this issue.

If you did not knowingly change anything on your PC, then it would seem that some automatic update may have changed something that is now conflicting with Captivate.

Are you sure you did not install some new software app or some driver software (e.g. something related to the web cam) in the intervening period?
