I am having an problem in Captivate 2019. I am creating a training lesson and when I save the project then close it, when I reopen it, the text on the slides is missing. I am able to click on the field and have the text reappears but tis means having do go into the objects and fix them as well. This is way to tedious.

  1. Why is this happening?
  2. How can I fix this?

Thanks

Can you please mention the full version number as you find under Help, About Captivate? There have been many versions under the common name CP2019. You may have missed updates, patches.

Which theme do you use and which font?

Did you try to clear the cache (Preferences) and cleaning the Preferences?

    • Version: 11.5.5.553
    • Font: Arial
    • Theme: We are using a template we created.
    • Cache: I deleted

I saved the doc again, re-opened and the issue still exists.

Do you use a cptl, Captivate template file? Please do not use them anymore, they are buggy since several versions.

If you missed up terms, and talk about a custom theme, was that theme created with this version of Captivate? Please check the theme fonts, the object styles, the master slide. In version 11.5 themes have been updated a lot. Have a look at:

To clean the Preferences, find the subfolder 'utils' under the installation folder and run CleanPreferences... for your OS, while Captivate is closed.
