Captivate 3 causing IE "error on page" message

When we embed Captivate 3 software simulations into our Adobe Presenter courses, an "error on page" message appears in the IE status bar for the duration of the course even though the simulations run well. What causes this?

Embedding Captivate 2 does not cause an error message.

    Hi bjs2

Can you be more explicit about what it is you are seeing? What exactly does the message say? Also, how exactly are you embedding your Captivate into Presenter? Maybe that will offer a clue as well.

    Cheers... Rick

Thanks for your reply. To insert the Captivate file, we:
    Choose Insert Flash.
    Insert the SWF file.
Select the placeholder created on the slide.
Lock the aspect ratio and resize the placeholder.
For the Flash object, select the Controlled by presentation playbar in Presentation Settings.
Insert silence for the length of the demo.
    Save the presentation, and publish.

When we view the presentation, the error appears in the brower status bar under the presentation. We see the symbol for an error on the page (yellow rectangle with a black exclamation mark in the middle and a page symbol behind the rectangle). At first the text next to it says Error on page. That text changes to Done after awhile. The error appears on each page of the presenation.

Here is some detail about the error:
    Line: 25
    Char: 17
    Error: Type mismatch: "SlideContent_DofFS Command"
    Code: 0
