Captivate 4.0 File

I have inherited a captivate file that was created in 4.0 (*.cp), that needs updating.  I have Adobe Captivate 7.0.  Is there any way for me to edit a .cp file in 7?

    I fear you'll need an intermediate version (5/5.5 or 6). Even then, I would recommend to recreate the file, because so much has changed that editing may take longer if you upgrade to CP7. Since CP5 Captivate doesn't support AS2 anymore, you'll first have to strip out the cp file from objects using AS2.
