Captivate 4 & moodle. Issue with non-quiz SCO's

We are using Captivate 4 and moodle 1.9.5+.

Here's the issue: How do we set up a SCO in Captivate that does NOT include any sort of quiz to report a score?

Because we can't get bookmarking to work properly from Captivate SCO's to moodle, we have had to break apart our course into sections. Now the course consists of something like "lesson1 SCO" and "lesson1quiz SCO", "lesson2 SCO" and "lesson2quiz SCO", etc. The lesson SCO's are just information presented to the student and the "lesson#quiz SCO" are just quizzes.

The quiz SCO's are reporting the correct grades to moodle and being stored in the gradebook but we can't figure out what settings to set the lesson SCO's to, in order to report a score of 100. Currently, these lesson SCO's are reporting a score of "0" which is affecting moodle course averages score.

The only way around this that we have found is to add the lesson# SCO's into moodle as IMS Content Packages and therefore not scored and the lesson#quiz SCO's as activities and therefore scored. The problem with this method is that we can't require the students to take the lesson# SCO's.

Is there anyone who has come across this problem before and knows a solution?

    Hi there

Just stabbing in the dark here. What if you added a button on the last slide? Configure the button to report and assign it a value of 100 when clicked?

    Cheers... Rick

    Rick,

Thanks for the suggestion. That's actually what we did yesterday and it does work but really that's our back up plan. We already feel that there is too many mouse clicks as it is; we really don't want to add another. We need a way to report a score when there isn't a quiz involved.

As for the other issue you have encountered with Captivate and Moodle please report this to the Adobe Captivate team using the web address I have included below.
