Question

Captivate 4 Save and Continue?

I am a 6th grade teacher and I am trying to use Captivate 4 with Angel LMS 7.3. Right now the only SCORM that seems to be working is 1.2.

What I want to do is 2 things.

1) have a lesson that has a few "paying attention" questions in it. After they complete it I would like for them to be able to review it at a latter date with the right answers selected.

2) Be able to save a quiz in the middle and complete it at a later time without losing their answers

Thanks

I never use the Captivate quizzes in our LMS so I could be wrong but I don't think that either thing is possible in Captivate.

We use Flash based quizzes instead because then we can store the results and submitted answers and retrieve them at any time. I doubt that this is possible to do with a simple Captivate quiz unfortunately.

Thanks. I thought that part of the idea behind Captivate was to interface with LMSs. Can you suggest where to get more info on using flash as you describe?

Thanks

If you have the Adobe eLearning suite then Flash have some "stock" E-learning components that you can use for quizzes etc. They have SCORM support for LMS.

However, you would still need to implement the feature to store the results in some sort of a database in order to allow the students to review their results (and save their progress) at a later time.

I can't really guide you to somewhere were you can read about this because I am not aware of any place that deals with this specifically. You would need to get hold of a Flash programmer with ActionScript and database skills in order to pull it off.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
