Captivate 5.5 converting from Flash to HTML5

We are preparing to move our online learning courses in to an LMS. One requirement is for us to republish our Captivate 5.5 courses from Flash to HTML5. Short of upgrading to Version 6.0 or higher, is there another solution to do these conversions that anyone has used?

Even upgrading directly from 5.5 to 9 will not be possible, you'll need an intermeidate version (7 maybe)? Try to discuss with the vendor, or use a trial version of 7. Tiral period is 30 days. Why 9 ad not 2017?

Have to disappoint you, CP5.5 is from 2010 which is an eternity. If my memory is correct, there was not even HTML output in that versionb. Conversion, even if you upgrade, will be a lot of work. Do not expect to be able to open a CP5.5 project in CP2017 or even Cp9, you'll need to have an intermediate version as well. I even wonder if it wouldn't be quicker to recreate from start. You will have to clean out everything what is not compatible with HTML output. It depends of course on the files and their setup. Themes appeared with CP6, which are now the ase for consistent design.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for responding. We are pursuing an upgrade to 9.0.
