Captivate 5.5 import not working

My Captivate 5.5 won't import anything to the library. I know it's not the program, because I've imported stuff for another project before without any problems. I click the import button, I select the file, and I click open, but then nothing happens. I don't even get an error message. I've tried waiting. I've tried restarting my computer. I've tried restarting the program. I just want to import my PowerPoint. Help?

Hello,

Because I never imported a ppt presentation, I just checked and this is indeed not possible to import it directly into the Library. You have to choose Import, Powerpoint slides if you want to do that in an existing project. Choose the settings, and if you keep the 'Linked' option the presentation will appear in the Library and you'll be able to use the right-click menu, and see if the synchronisation is OK.

The Import button in the Library is meant for importing assets like audio, video, graphics. The roundtripping with Powerpoint is something specific, I suppose that is the reason it is not treated the same way.
