Captivate 5.5 Not saving simple edits

I am making simple edits in a project. After each change I click the save icon. But after closing the project and reopening it the edits are gone. Why? How can I make my edits stay?

    Hi MarkTX66,

    Welcome To Adobe forums.

    Can you please try recreating the preferences for Adobe Captivate 5.5 using the following steps:

    •   Close Adobe Captivate.

    •   Locate the preference folder:  
      • Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5.5 folder  
      • Windows XP:  C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5.5 folder 
      • Mac:  /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 5.5 folder

    •   Rename the Adobe Captivate 5.5 folder.

    •   Restart Adobe Captivate. A new configuration folder is automatically created

    • Now right click on Adobe Captivate icon anc lick on "Run as administrator" [IN CASE YOU ARE WOKING WINDOW 7]
