If I were to get Captivate 5 for a Mac, would I be able to save my files so that my co-worker can open up the same files in Captivate 4 for Windows?

    Hello,

Captivate never had backwards compatibility, so I'm afraid this will not be possible. Even on Windows, a CP5-file cannot be opened in CP4 (as couldn't CP4-files be opened in CP3).

As an add-on question, can Captivate 5 be used with the original eLearning Suite, or must one have the eLearning Suite 2?

    Thanks!

    Hi there

I might imagine that for any special functionality such as editing files directly in Photoshop, you may need the ELS2. But you can probably coax Captivate to work with an existing version of Photoshop if that's your game. Flash would perhaps be the same way. Would probably take a bit of effort to configure, but probably do-able.

    Cheers... Rick
