Captivate 5 Gridlines not displaying and bringing the application to a halt

Hi All,

Has anyone else experienced problems with Show/Hide Grid in Adobe Captivate version 5?

I have 2 problems, which I imagine are closely related:

1. The Grid does not display even when I select to 'Show' the Grid

2. When I select to 'Show' the Grid, captivate grinds to a halt!!

... Special thanks to Adobe for that one (number 2) .. I wasted at least a day working out what caused the apparent performance problems 8/

Cheers,

David

    Hello,

Could you try to delete the Preferences folder? Cp has to be closed and a new one will be created when restarting.

Thanks Lilybiri, that did the trick .

Only two small issues remain (which, I realize are out of scope for this thread):

    1. Master slide rudely sits on top of the Grid so you cannot see the Grid unless you remove the Master Slide.

    2. No Rulers .. Come on Adobe .. sort it out

    Hello,

    Glad it worked.

About rulers: couldn't agree more with you, I do miss rulers and guides. Please if you have time fill in a feature request.

I'm puzzled however by you mentioning that master slides sit on top of the grid? Do use mostly a master slide and do not have that issue. Here is a screenshot where the master slide has a dark background image, and you see that the grid points even change automatically to a white color.

FYI: once blogged about the impact of the Grid size on moving/resizing, here is the link:
