Captivate 5 issue with bullets in powerpoint presentation.

When working in Captivate 5 i have an issue with the bullets in the powerpoint presentation (using PP 2007) changing and losing their formatting.  For instance if the bullet is a numer it will number 1,2,3,4, etc but when it gets to 10 instead of continuing with 10 it continues with a,b,c...  Also, it is removing the spaces between the number/letter/symbol bullets so that it shows 1.Some text, instead of 1.  Some text.  If I select the edit with powerpoint options if show the slide is correct.

Has anyone else had these issues and come up with a solution for them?

I found a trick that fixed this problem for me. Same issue with bullets changing, importing PowerPoint 2010 to Captivate 5.

For some reason, when there is non-bullet text AND bulleted text placed in the same text box, in PPT - the space between the bullet and bullet text changes after being imported into Captivate.

Place bullets together in their own text box separate from header text or other on screen non-bullet text. Save PPT and update Captivate. The bullet space returns to normal.

    Long live Flash.

I'm using Captivate 6, Your suggestion does work, but it's a nasty work-around and quite time consuming.  HOWEVER, it works and I am greatful for a solution . If the text box contains bulleted text only, Captivate retains the format from PowerPoint.

So, if you need a work-around, create two text boxes - 1 for the non-bulleted text and a 2nd for the bulleted text.  I'm not sure why Captivate has issues with this , it's annoying, but at least I can get it to work.

Anyone else have information on this issue and other effective work arounds?

The only way I was able to get it to work was to use letters instead of numbers.
